Pori, Finland 6.4.2020. Duunikoutsi mobile app wins the eEemeli Award as the best digital learning tool in Finland. Duunikoutsi developed by TAT uses Headai’s artificial intelligence for youth career coaching.
The annual quality competition eEemeli by The Association of Finnish eLearning Centre awards the best digital learning solutions and promotes the eLearning industry in Finland. This year’s winning solution Duunikoutsi got an exceptional praise for its high quality and ease of use. The award was given on the 2nd of April.
Duunikoutsi mobile app is a career coaching tool for youth, helping to identify and describe their skills and strengths, and to find a practical training place, a summer job or a dream career. The app features tips for applying for jobs, tests for improving your capabilities and stories about inspiring career paths. As users are using the app, they will as a result accumulate a skill-based CV, which they can download for further use.
Duunikoutsi includes a Robokoutsi-bot utilizing Headai’s artificial intelligence. The bot helps young users to learn about topics customized to their own interest and feedback and creates a knowledge map of their progress and their interests.
The mobile application was developed by Economy and youth TAT together with Oikotie Jobs and SAK, The Central Organisation of Finnish Trade Unions. The technical execution was done by 10Monkeys and Headai. Duunikoutsi is available for download in app stores.
Headai’s award-winning cognitive artificial intelligence learns from natural language and can draw conclusions that require human-like cognitive decision making. Headai’s technology also won the most prestigious innovation competition of Finland, the Sitra’s Ratkaisu 100 Challenge in 2017, and was in the Alibaba’s Cloud Computing Contest finalist in London 2017.
The 19th annual eEemeli-award event was held online due social distancing recommendations. The award jury consists of members from the private and public sector experts from pedagogy, education and learning technology fields.
